Miranda-35

The radar sensor Miranda-35 is a miniaturized high-performance radar, which is designed for airborne applications. The imaging sensor operates in the Ka-band (35 GHz center frequency) on the principle of synthetic aperture radar (SAR). With the high output power of 10 W, the system is also suitable for high altitudes. The radar was developed at the Fraunhofer Institute for High Frequency Physics and Radar Techniques (FHR) in Germany. The system derives excellent accuracies with the AEROcontrol GNSS/IMU positioning system. The Miranda-35 system is compact, lightweight and can be installed easily on small survey aircraft, different helicopter models, a gyrocopter or UAV/RPAS platforms.
