IGI AEROoffice new Version 6.0.0

We are pleased to announce the release of AEROoffice version 6.0.0. .This release contains the following  features and changes:

  • New processing engine for GNSS INS post processing
The new processing engine is not generally changing the way the data is processed. Nevertheless, the trajectory reconstruction will be slightly improved for most projects.
The processing engine runs approximately three times faster.
  • GNSS INS difference plot made with smoothed INS solution
The plots "GPS/INS Position Differences" and "GPS/INS Velocity Differences" are modified.
In the new release these plots show the difference between the GNSS solution and the final INS solution from the reverse (smoother) run.
Up to now, the INS solution from the forward processing has been used.
The new plot gives a better understanding of the situation, because the features shown in the plot are not influenced by the processing direction anymore. These modifications are especially valuable for terrestrial Mobile Mapping projects under difficult GNSS conditions.
Furthermore, the plot is now showing all three dimensions and not only the horizontal component.
  • Meta information by sensor definition
Within the first page of the Sensor setup there is a new text field to provide KEY/VALUE pairs for each sensor.
The KEY/VALUE pairs are used for meta data output with the datamanager.
  • Datamanager new output formats
There are two new output formats available:
    • Photomesh
    • ArcGis Reality Studio - Frames and Camera Table

Both formats contain lot's of sensor parameters, which have to be entered in the new editor element on the first  page of the sensor setup (see above).

One can use parts of this table as a template. Don't forget to update the values!

  • Septentrio PPSDK support
To import the output file from Septentrio PPSDK as an external GNSS-solution, AEROoffice now can read the Septentrio binary format (*.sbf). The sbf format is supported for postprocessing only. Creating plots of the file content is not supported.
  • PrepareCard, Configure connection to a 3rd party INS system
To operate the AEROcontrol together with a third party INS system a new setup page is available now.
Needs AEROcontrol firmware 4.16.0 or later.
  • Coordinate Systems
    • Add support for TM coordinate systems with origin at the poles
    • Correct USA Geoid12A entries for Alaska, Hawaii and PuertoRico to use local GEOID12A_ALASKA, GEOID12A_HAWAII and GEOID12A_PRVI instead of GEOID12A.
  • Bugfix Antimeridian
Processing of sessions crossing the antimeridian caused problems before.
