WinMP is a software developed by IGI to plan and document aerial photography and other aerial survey flight missions.
WinMP is the data input system for IGI's CCNS (Computer Controlled Navigation System). Running on an office PC - Pentium®
III, 256MB, 30MB free hard space - under Windows® 2000, NT and XP the well known graphical presentation leads to a minimum
training period. Due to the modular program design, WinMP can be adjusted to the user's requirements, buy the modules needed.
Using WinMP no external CAD software is needed.
WinMP mission planning may consist of waypoints, segments, flightlines, polygons and icons. A graphical input for these objects
via mouse or digitizer and a numerical input via keyboard is provided. Planning can be created on top of digital raster or vector maps.
Printing and plotting is possible on all print and plotting devices installed under Windows®. All graphical properties of WinMP objects,
like color, style and thickness of lines, may be adjusted by the operator according to the end user's/client's needs.
The transfer of CCNS exposure data to WinMP for mission evaluation is a one-step process. All exposure data can be stored in a database
and selected under various selection criterias leading to an easy managment of exposure information such as film number, photo position,
project name, area, flightline, etc. Display the exposure points on top of digital maps and create plots, reports and index fields for
documentation. Flightlines are automatically reconstructed and displayed.
Mission planning and documentation can be generated by using a local co-ordinate system, which is usually in the country of operation and
noted on the maps of the country. IGI provides more than 70 Country Modules with hundreds of tested co-ordinate systems. These Country
Modules allow planning in the countries X/Y- or Lat/Lon co-ordinates together with automatic transformation to WGS84 co-ordinates for
flight operations.
Several databases are provided to store and manage data needed for mission planning and documentation. With the map database, any bitmap
(bmp, tiff, geotiff, jpg) or Vector Map (dxf, ESRI shape) may be used. Parameters used for geo-referencing are calculated by WinMP. A sensor
database takes the user editable data of various cameras ready-to-use in mission planning. The customer database provides graphical
preferences of customers and the opportunity to switch the graphical appearance by one mouse click.
With the WinMP index field generator and database, the user can define index fields including text, graphical objects and imported
bitmaps. With the report generator and database, the user can create various reports consisting of tables, text, graphical objects and
imported bitmaps. Objects stored in the index field and report databases, can be used as templates for mission planning and documentation.
A label generator and database is used for the design and management of labels. These labels can be used as templates for points, flightlines and icons. Text may be placed at any position.
ASCII import and export is possible for flightline, polygon and icon data. A DXF export is provided for waypoint,
flightline, polygon and icon data.
