Hardware

LiteMapper consists of the high-resolution laser scanner types LMS-Q240 (LiteMapper 2400) or the new LMS-Q560 (LiteMapper 5600) with full waveform processing. Both sensorscome from RIEGL. The LiteMapper 5600 waveform laser scanner comes with an additional Data Recorder.

The LMcontrol, a Linux-based main computer unit for up to 60 hours data logging together with a detached 8 inch TFT touch-screen operates and controls the sensor.
The high-resolution touch-screen provides a comfortable graphical user interface.

The AEROcontrol GPS/IMU system for the precise determination of position/height and attitude with an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) of 256Hz raw data rate is based on differential GPS (dGPS).

The CCNS (Computer Controlled Navigation System) aircraft guidance and management system consisting of a small ruggedized central computer unit (CCU) and a 5 inch TFT Command and Display Uni (CDU) for the pilot. A dual frequency receiver is integrated.

A customized shock-absorbing platform completes the modular hardware componets of the LiteMapper. The system can be installed in helicopters or fixed-wing aircraft.

Software

The software WinMP is for mission planning and documentation in the coordinate system of the country of interest. With over 110 country modules available, DTM support, automatic planning, shape, bitmap backdrops and many other features.

AEROoffice is the GPS and IMU data post-processing software.

RiWorld and RiAnalyze isthe new software from Riegl. RiWorld for coordinate transformation of airborne laser scanner data. RiAnalyze for airborne data processing.

The software bundle from TerraSolid comprises the software parts TerraScan, TerraModeler and TerraMatch. TerraScan is the dedicated software solution for manipulation, viewing, and classifying LiDAR data. TerraModeler is a full featured terrain modeling application for creating digital terrain/surface models (DTM & DSM). Terra Match is for automated correction of LiDAR data.

Options

DigiCAM - The Medium-Format Airborne Digital Camera System can be operated simultaneously with the LiDAR system. It comes with the brand new 39 Megapixel camera back from Hasselblad.
